This page documents how to permanently delete your Friendity account and all data associated with it. The same instructions are surfaced inside the app. This public URL exists so that the Google Play Store can link to it as required by the developer policy effective 15 April 2026.
Delete from inside the app
- Open Friendity.
- Tap the Profile tab at the bottom.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
- Confirm. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
This action cascades immediately:
- Your account record, profile, friends, plans, notes, and saved ideas are deleted from our database.
- On the phone you delete from, the app also wipes its entire local copy — your friends, profile, notes, on-device chat history and photos, plus the key that encrypted the local database — so nothing about the account is left on that device.
- If you connected a Google Calendar, the OAuth grant is revoked with Google and our copy of the token + cached events is deleted.
- If you connected an Outlook calendar, our copy of the token + cached events is deleted. Microsoft does not expose a per-token revoke API; to fully remove our app's authorization from your Microsoft account, visit account.microsoft.com → Privacy → App access.
- Behavioural signals used for personalisation are deleted along with the account record.
If you cannot sign in
If you lost access to the email associated with your account, contact us at privacy@friendity.app from a verifiable channel (e.g. an alternate email you previously used, or a reply on a Friendity invite thread) and we will verify identity and delete on your behalf within 30 days, in line with GDPR Article 17.
What we keep after deletion
We retain only the minimum required by law (e.g. anonymised aggregate statistics, fraud-prevention records, accounting records subject to statutory retention). See the Retention section of our Privacy Policy for the current list. None of the retained material identifies you personally.
Provisional accounts
If you never finished sign-up, no manual action is needed: provisional accounts and their data — including any connected-calendar token and cached events — are deleted automatically about two weeks after inactivity. See the Privacy Policy for details.
